northeast-southwest over Explorer.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Saturday weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Cape Scott.

At 5:00 p.m. PDT Saturday approaching frontal system located over
the northern offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:28 AM PDT 18 August 2017 A ridge of high pressure will build over Explorer this afternoon and
extend through the central waters tonight.

Moderate to strong northwest winds will prevail for most of the South
Coast except gale force westerlies through Juan de Fuca Strait
tonight.

North of the ridge, moderate to strong westerly winds will prevail.
