Wind southwest 5 to 15 knots backing to southeast 15 this evening then increasing to southeast 20 to 30 late overnight. Wind diminishing to southeast 15 to 20 Saturday morning then becoming southwest 15 near noon Saturday. Wind diminishing to light Saturday afternoon.

over the Coast Mountains.
At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located off the offshore waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Saturday departing trough located on a line
north-south over BC interior.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:43 PM PDT 20 October 2017 An approaching trough of low pressure will track across central and
northern waters on Saturday and move inland late in the afternoon.
Ahead of the front, southeast gales will develop over the offshore
waters this evening then spread to all outer waters overnight and the
inner South Coast early Saturday morning. In its wake the winds will
shift to strong to gale force southwesterly late Saturday.
