Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PST 27 February 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located west of
the offshore waters.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today trough from low located from the Washington
Coast to the North Coast.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight trough located from the West Entrance of
Juan de Fuca Strait to the Central Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight trough from low located from the Gulf of
Alaska to Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday trough from low located from the Gulf of
Alaska to BC interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:16 AM PST 27 February 2017 A ridge of high pressure will remain west of the offshore waters.
A trough of low pressure along the BC coast will weaken
Tonight. Another trough will develop from the Gulf of Alaska to Haida
Gwaii overnight. The trough will move into the BC Interior Tuesday
afternoon.

Strong to gale force northwesterly winds over the offshore waters
will spread to the northern and central waters and to the west coast
of Vancouver Island today.
