At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight weakening low 1004 mb located 60 miles
south of Port Hardy.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Sunday dissipating low 1012 mb located off Tofino.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:29 PM PST 10 December 2016 An Arctic ridge of high pressure will remain over the British
Columbia Interior and will build strongly over the northern and
Central Interior tonight and Sunday. Meanwhile, a weakening area of
low pressure will remain off the west coast of Vancouver Island.

The building Arctic high over the interior will cause intensifying
Arctic outflows over the northern and central portions of the coast.
Gale force outflow winds through the mainland inlets will strengthen
to storm force overnight or Sunday morning over the north and Central
Coast. Cold temperatures well below freezing will produce moderate
freezing spray through Douglas Channel and Portland Inlet.
