Issued 10:30 AM PDT 8 October 2015 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over the Central Coast.

At 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight deepening low 980 mb located west of
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Friday low 966 mb located over western Bowie.

At 5:00 a.m. PDT Friday intensifying cold front located west
of Explorer.
By 8:00 a.m. PDT Friday cold front located over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:32 AM PDT 8 October 2015 Stormy conditions will prevail over the next few days as a series of
lows and frontal systems affect the BC coast, with the most intense
storm forecast for Friday.

Gale to storm force southeasterlies are occurring in a swath from
Vancouver Island northward this morning with a frontal system
approaching the coast.

After a brief lull later this afternoon, a deep 970 millibar low
incorporating the remnants of hurricane oho will move northward
through Bowie on Friday morning. Widespread storm to hurricane force
southerlies can be expected from Northern Vancouver Island northward.
