Issued 10:30 AM PDT 16 October 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today departing low 1000 mb located over the
North Coast.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today cold front from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Hecate Strait.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:29 AM PDT 16 October 2017 A low over the North Coast will move inland near noon today.
The trailing cold front will move across the central waters this
evening and the South Coast overnight. Strong to gale force
Southerly winds will persist over the central and south
Coast this evening. Winds will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in the wake of the front.

Another frontal system will approach the northern and central waters
late Tuesday. Winds will rise quickly to gale to storm force
southeasterlies ahead of the system Tuesday night.
