Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 23 October 2017 Tonight and Tuesday By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing low 991 mb located over the
Alaska panhandle.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary frontal system located
on a line northeast-southwest over southern Hecate Strait.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday low 1012 mb located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday low 1009 mb located over southern Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 23 October 2017 In the wake of a low moving into the Alaska Panhandle, gale to storm
force southerlies over northern waters will diminish to strong
westerlies tonight. The associated front will remain over Southern
Hecate Strait tonight with southeast gales persisting over the
central waters.

On Tuesday, another low pressure system will move to lie over Bowie
in the afternoon. Southerly gales will redevelop over the northern
waters ahead of the low.
