Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Central Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located over northwestern
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Sunday weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over eastern Bowie.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:59 PM PDT 18 April 2015 A ridge of high pressure in a north to south line over Queen
Charlotte Sound this evening will shift very slowly eastward tonight
and Sunday to lie through McInnes Island and Cape Scott by late
Sunday evening. A frontal system over Western Bowie this evening will
move very slowly eastwards across Bowie tonight and Sunday.
Moderate to strong northwest winds will prevail over most areas east
of the ridge. Winds ease to light near the ridge and back to moderate
to strong southerly in its wake. The approaching front will bring
gale force southerlies over the northern offshore waters and off
Northwestern Haida Gwaii tonight.
