Wind increasing to southeast 20 to 30 this evening and to southeast 30 to 40 near midnight. Wind diminishing to west 15 to 25 near noon Monday then backing to southwest 10 to 20 Monday afternoon.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 1 February 2015 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over western Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 10:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over Hecate Strait.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today ridge located over northern BC interior.

At noon PST today trough located on a line east-west over Haida
Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing trough located over northern Bowie.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Monday frontal system located over western Queen
Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM PST 1 February 2015 A Pacific frontal system over Western Queen Charlotte Sound will move
over the North Coast this morning. Ahead of the system, strong to
gale force southeasterlies can be expected over the central and
northern waters. Winds will shift to strong to gale southwesterlies
in the wake of the front.

In addition, gale force northeasterly outflow winds will continue
near Portland Inlet and Douglas Channel through Monday.

Another frontal system will move over Queen Charlotte Sound Monday
morning from the southwest. Strong to gale force southeasterlies can
be expected ahead of this system over most waters tonight.
