Issued 4:00 AM PST 23 January 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. PST today weakening ridge located over northern
BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today weakening low 988 mb located south of
Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing low 1000 mb located off Oregon
Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south over
Vancouver Island.

At 11:00 p.m. PST Tuesday approaching frontal system located over
western Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 AM PST 23 January 2017 Strong to gale force easterlies off the west coast of Vancouver
Island will quickly ease this morning as a low off the Oregon coast
weakens and moves off to the south.

A ridge of high pressure will reach the northern offshore waters
This afternoon and will settle over Vancouver Island on Tuesday,
bringing mostly light to moderate winds over the coast except for
local strong northwesterlies off the west coast of Vancouver
Island tonight.

A frontal system will be approaching the northern offshore waters
tonight and Tuesday, leading to strong to gale force southeasterlies
developing over the far north.
