Issued 4:00 PM PST 27 February 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located west of the
offshore waters.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary low located over the Gulf
of Alaska.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight trough from low located from the Gulf of
Alaska to Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Tuesday trough from low located from the Gulf of
Alaska to BC interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 PM PST 27 February 2017 A ridge of high pressure will remain west of the offshore waters.
A trough of low pressure will develop from the Gulf of Alaska to
Haida Gwaii tonight. The trough will move into the BC Interior
Tuesday afternoon.

Strong to gale force northwesterly winds over West Coast Vancouver
Island North will ease this evening.

Ahead of the trough, strong to gale force southeasterly winds will
develop early Tuesday morning. In the wake of the trough, winds will
become strong to gale force northwesterly over the northern and
central waters and the west coast of Vancouver Island later on
Tuesday.
