Winter weather travel advisory in effect for today. Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 5 to 10 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy flurries. Timing: This morning into this evening. Discussion: Flurries, heavy at times, are expected to significantly reduce visibilities and produce local snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm. Scattered light flurries will continue tonight with minor accumulations possible. Flurries, heavy at times, are expected to return on Wednesday along with the risk for snow squalls. Snow squall watches or warnings may be required as the event draws nearer. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
